What is BAM - The Blacksmiths Association of Missouri
How do I Join

Bam is the Blacksmiths Association of Missouri, a chapter of ABANA The Artist Blacksmith's Association of North America It was organized in 1984 by Bob Patrick and a small group of people who were interested in learning this ancient craft. Since then the group has grown to nearly 400 members in Missouri and other states.

We meet at a member's shop every other month to share ideas and demonstrate new techniques at the forge. One of the highlights at every meeting is the trade item. The host will pick an item, say kitchen utensils, and everyone makes their own version of the concept. If you make one , you get to take someone else's home.

We also publish an award-winning newsletter six times per year. Edited by Bob Ehrenburger
BAM's newsletter's is goal is to support these aims. Letters to the editor, tech tips, tools for sale or anything else to further these ends will be considered for publication.
Where Do We Meet
BAM meetings are held at a different member's shop every other month, starting in January. Most of meeting are in Missouri; however we also have meetings in Illinois and Kansas every once in awhile to accommodate our members in those states.
