I am putting together our Living History Day event at Big Oak Tree State Park in East Prairie, MO on September 13 from 10am-4pm. We are looking for a blacksmith to come to our event and demonstrate. Bob Alexander has demonstrated in the past but he has a prior commitment for that day. Is there anyone in the bootheel area or someone who would travel to the bootheel area that you can suggest? I haven't had any luck finding someone in this area. I would appreciate any help you can give me!

Blacksmith needed to demonstrate near Joplin MO. The event is the third weekend in Sept, the 20th and 21st. It will commemorate the 145th anniversary of the burning of the town of Sherwood by the yankees. Sherwood was the third largest town in Jasper county, and among it's citizens were a blacksmith and a tinsmith. I am hoping you are able to find someone for the event, as we would like to have as many period craftsmen and lifestyle demonstrations as possible along with the civil war reenactors. All demonstrators will be able to sell items they make, and I'm sure a blacksmith would find willing customers with the reenactors there.

Blacksmith wanted. The Chamois Community in Action Group is sponsoring the 10th annual Chamois Day Festival and craft fair on Sat. September 19th. The event will be held along main street and begins at 10am sith the parade and runs till 4pm

We are looking for a blacksmith demonstrator at our October 11th Octoberfest in Cole Camp, Mo.
